St Annes Artisan Market

Located in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire.

St Annes Artisan Market takes place monthly in the heart of St Annes Square — a beautifully regenerated £3.1m public space at the centre of town, purpose-built for events and community life. Organised in partnership between Fylde Council and Crafty Vintage, one of Lancashire's most respected artisan market organisers, it brings together a carefully curated mix of independent makers, designers, vintage sellers, food and drink producers and creative start-ups from across the North West.

Expect handmade crafts, jewellery, art and homeware alongside artisan food and drink, live music and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that draws visitors from across the Fylde Coast. With a rotating selection of seasonal and themed traders throughout the year, no two markets are quite the same.

Free to attend, running from 10am to 4pm on the second Saturday of every month. St Annes Square is surrounded by the town's best independent restaurants, cafés and bars — making it the perfect base for a full day out on the coast.

A well-regarded restaurant and bar on Wood Street serving a classic menu of steaks, grills and cocktails. Popular for special occasions and team nights out — the mixed grill platter is a standout. Friendly service and generous portions.

There was something on the menu for everyone, but most of us went for steaks. They were generous in size and perf...”

A well-regarded Italian restaurant on Clifton Street in Lytham, open evenings only and consistently praised for its Neapolitan-style pizzas and handmade pasta. A relaxed, romantic setting with attentive service — the bread and olives and the tiramisu are not to be skipped. Worth the short drive from St Annes.

“Dined early evening and had a light meal. The food was well prepared, presented nicely and tasted delicious. The bread and olives were particularly nice and are a must have. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. Would definitely recommend.”

A stylish Indian restaurant and cocktail bar on St George's Road with one of the highest ratings of any restaurant on the Fylde Coast. Dog-friendly, beautifully decorated, and known for beautifully presented dishes including an exceptional Chettinad curry. Booking recommended.

“Nipped in here for a quick lunch on Friday. Lovely place and friendly service. I had the chicken Chettinad curry with egg rice (and lemon chicken for starter). It was the early bird menu for £19. Generous sharing plates, a vast cocktail list and regular live music make it one of the most fun evenings out in St Annes. Portions are enormous — order fewer dishes than you think you need.

“What an amazing place, so much atmosphere and run by a lovely husband and wife team - we were made so welcome! It's tapas but not as you know it! We ordered 4 dishes for 2 of us and they moved us from a table for 2 to a larger one - when it arrived it's definitely not for the small appetite. It w...”

About this area

St Annes is one of Lancashire's most charming seaside towns — quieter and more refined than its neighbour Blackpool, with a strong independent retail scene, a beautiful Victorian pier, wide sandy beaches and a growing reputation for food and drink. St Annes Square sits at the very centre of town, freshly transformed and increasingly the focal point for the community.

Within a short walk of the market you'll find some of the Fylde Coast's finest places to eat and drink. Jai Lounge on St George's Road is the standout for Indian cuisine, with a 4.9 rating that speaks for itself. Tiggis and Allegria are long-established Italian favourites on Orchard Road and St Annes Road West respectively, while Spicy Waves on Orchard Road is a BYOB Indian institution. For something more unusual, The Ducks Nuts on Park Road brings Australian-inspired tapas and cocktails to the mix. Coffee lovers should seek out Gabriellas on Park Road or Fable on The Crescent — a beautifully calm bookshop café open until 9pm. The Hop Shoppe on Wood Street and Number Fifteen in its converted bank building are the picks for craft beer.

Ashton Gardens — a lovely Victorian park with ornamental ponds and a café — is a five-minute stroll from the square. St Annes Pier and its wide sandy beach are equally close. A short drive takes you to Lytham, where Lytham Hall, Lowther Gardens, Fairhaven Lake and the Fylde Spitfire Memorial make for an outstanding afternoon. The towns are connected by a pleasant coastal walk along the promenade.

St Annes train station is a five-minute walk from the square, with regular services from Blackpool South and Preston on the Blackpool South line.

“The most beautiful park I have visited. it has everything. Woodland areas amazing birdsong, play equipment, a credit to it's gardeners. Sits in stark contrast with Canford park from my native Bristol a supposedly more fashionable place with property three times the price of Blackpool .”

“Highly recommended! This great little museum (and the adjacent lifeboat museum) is a fantastic, quick stop for anyone walking the promenade.
